Day 1

We are having a great time on our Year 6 Residential.

On our way to Osmington Bay we stopped at Monkey World where we saw chimpanzees, gorillas and lemurs. Our favourite part of the park were the playgrounds. They had amazing slides – even Mr Koroma had a go!

We arrived at Osmington Bay around 5pm. Our camp leader Sean led us to our rooms where we quickly unpacked, decided who was going to sleep on which bunk and headed to dinner. After dinner, we enjoyed a campfire where we learned some new songs and listened to stories. We went to bed around 9pm and all went to sleep pretty quickly – it had been an exciting day!

 Day 2

We had a brilliant morning. We travelled by coached to the Olympic Sailing Centre in Portland and went Dragon Boating. We learned some new skills, split into three teams and did some Dragon Boat racing. We competed in three races Mr Koroma’s team won two of the races and Mrs Fenning’s team the other.

Last night we played a live game of Cluedo. We had to run around the camp looking for clues. We had a great time!

Day 3

We have had breakfast and are getting ready to head off to our morning activities. This morning some of us will be raft building and others having a go at the giant swing. In our spare time, a lot of us spend our time at Little Wembley playing football - we can't wait to get out there again later to play a game of football.

Yesterday afternoon we enjoyed amazing weather - there wasn't a cloud in the sky! Some groups had a go at Street Surfing, the Giant Swing and Tunnel Trails. Mr Koroma enjoyed a go at the Zip Wire and Mrs Fenning felt a bit queasy after two goes on the giant swing. The children are behaving brilliantly and are determined to give every activity a go - they are a brave bunch!

For dinner we had a choice of lasagne or child nuggets with chips or salad. There is a lot of choice of food and after a day of activities the children have great appetites for their dinner.

Last night, we played ambush on the site. We split into two teams and hid in bushes, behind walls following clues to find the other team. We were exhausted by the time we arrived back to our rooms and were all asleep by 9:30.
